Kasia Kowalska is a Polish-born artist working in photography and film.
Born in 1976, she emigrated to the UK in 1991 where she achieved BA in English and American Literature with Spanish from The University of Kent and Post Graduate Diploma in Bilingual Translation from The University of Westminster.
Her work centres on the female experience and is influenced by art history and feminist art theory.
Her projects engage with the representations of the female body and seek to portray the performative spaces women occupy, alongside their personal agency and subjective experience.
British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain Vol.5 Winner and finalist in Association of Photographers Student Awards in 2021 and 2022.
Currently she is pursuing a BA in Photography at London Metropolitan University.
